Information for Apple iMac and MacOs X users.

The interactive mapping service is a Microsoft Windows application, running on our server.  We use two products to allow users to have an interactive session with the application from a wide variety of platforms.  These products are:

In addition to the embedded client, Citrix produce application-mode clients for several platforms, Including Mac Os up to version 9..

According to documentation available from Citrix Systems Inc., their native client does not work on Mac Os X, even in classic mode.  They also acknowledge that there are problems with the Java client being used as an applet on MacOs X - a fact that the worldcruising.net site developers have observed.

At present neither Microsoft nor Citrix have released a suitable alternative means of accessing either Terminal Server or Metaframe 1.8 server reliably from a computer running Mac Os X.

We understand that you will find this frustrating and are seeking a solution from our suppliers.  Any solution will be implemented as and when it becomes available.

Until a solution becomes available, you may view the location of boats participating in an event through the event viewer or subscribers through the subscribers viewer.
